Store Managers are responsible for all aspects of running a Krispy Kreme doughnut store. It’s hard work, but it’s also full of fun and excitement. Talk about job satisfaction: there’s not much that generates a smile as quickly as a bite of an Original Glazed® doughnut hot off the line! Our Store Managers oversee everything related to production, sales and scheduling as well as human resource issues. They generate maximum revenue and ensure that our loyal patrons are treated to world-class customer service. Our goal is for our customers to stop in for a doughnut and/or cup of coffee and leave with a smile, each and every time.

The same is true with our employees. We want them to work hard but have fun. Our Store Managers are committed to making their stores special places to work. It’s a lot easier to generate a smile if you’re smiling yourself!

We believe in developing our people. Our Store Managers are on a career track to grow within their stores, regions and the greater organization.

We also realize that strong training is essential. Our management training program begins with six weeks of on-the-job training, which is supplemented with videos, computer-based training and a workbook of materials. After completion of the on-the-job training phase, trainees attend a week-long classroom session at our Training Center in Winston-Salem, NC. The classroom session includes hands-on production and equipment training as well as lectures given by corporate employees.

Manager Trainee Program

When you look at us, you see mouth-watering doughnuts. When we look at you, we see the future leaders of our company. At Krispy Kreme, we want to attract and retain managers as special and great as our doughnuts. We start by training our managers the right way. New recruits in this exclusive, entry level training program receive six months of management training that includes rotations in retail, wholesale and support center operations. We put our trainees up in corporate housing during rotations and give them a raise upon completion of the program.

As a manager trainee, not only will you work with a team of peers at our headquarters to master our management model, but you also will have an opportunity to interact with many members of our upper level management team, including one-on-one time with our CEO.

The Krispy Kreme Management Training Program is intense but fun. It provides the hands-on experience you need to build your current skills and prepare you to run a Krispy Kreme store. Upon completion of the Manager Trainee Program, you will be a certified Assistant Manager and relocated to a location that business needs dictate. Graduates of the program serve as Assistant Managers and are usually on the fast track to a General Manager position.
